WSO2 API Manager 4.6 Release Highlights

This blog is about the most recent release of WSO2 API Manager i.e. APIM v4.6 that brings a major leap forward in AI-driven API management, federated gateway support, and advanced analytics. This version introduces the AI Gateway with multi-model support and MCP tool integration, a universal API management interface for federated gateways, and enhanced analytics and monetization through Moesif.

New Features

  1. MCP Gateway & MCP Hub – Manage and orchestrate MCP tools seamlessly.
  2. Multi-Model AI Service Provider Support – Integrate multiple AI models effortlessly.
  3. AI Guardrails & Semantic Caching – Ensure safe, efficient AI-driven API interactions.
  4. API Discovery for Federated Gateways – Simplify API visibility across gateways.
  5. API Analytics with Moesif – Gain product-level insights and monetization visibility.
  6. Application Update Workflow – Streamline application management.
  7. Application-Level Scopes – Enhance API security and access control.

Improvements

  1. Expanded list of onboarded AI service providers.
  2. Redis-based counter sharing for efficient traffic management.
  3. Gateway health and API deployment monitoring support.
  4. Removal of database dependency for multi-tenant API gateways.
  5. Extended analytics with OpenSearch integration.


Key Changes

Certain Admin Services have been disabled and deprecated for improved security and maintainability.

Oracle SOA Suite 12c- PKIX path building failed & unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Hi Everyone, in this blog I'll be writing one of the strange issue that has been encountered while working with a Oracle SOA composite running in Oracle IDAM environment and trying to invoke a SSL based remote service where SSL certification based exception has been thrown during the service invocation. Migration of Oracle SOA Suite Composite from 11g to 12c

Recently I have came across a scenario where I have a business requirement of  migration of Oracle SOA Suite 11g(11.1.1.7.0) to 12c(12.1.3.0). Below are the different mechanisms I have tried to do, few of them failed and one succeeded. Working in Oracle SOA Suite 11g is completely different from 12c. In 11g, we need to install the jDeveloper(11.1.1.7) then SOA extension separately to be installed either via offline file  (download available at  https://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml ) or through jDeveloper top menu >>  Help >> Check for Updates >> SOA Extension.  While working with 12c doesn't involves such tedious job.
